Sun White Spectrum

This all-natural light spectrum boosts healthy growth rates for house plants, microgreens, flowers, fruits and more. By mimicking sunlight conditions with a high CRI of 95, the Sun White Spectrum will make your garden look more vivid and it will be easier to detect pests and deficiencies before they spread. This truly full-spectrum light extends beyond the traditional PAR range (400-700 nm) to include far-red wavelengths that increase photosynthesis rates via the Emerson Effect.

(Active Grow review starts at 4:06) "These are really nice because you can convert a regular fluorescent fixture into an LED fixture just by switching the tubes. The nice thing about the LED tubes is that they use a lot less energy than the T5 ones do. The T5 fluorescent is 54 watts, each of the LEDs is 24 watts so you're right about half the energy usage. We've slowly switched over to LED from the T5 fluorescents and as we switched we found that our yield actually went up a little bit. You can buy these bulbs in different spectrums. This is the Sun White Spectrum but there are other ones that you could use as well. This one has worked really well so I would recommend it."

Switch these on a 6bulb T5 and my girls loved the change. They loved it so much and responded so well I ordered a bunch for a few 12 bulb fixtures I have in flower with different spectrums and the results so far are amazing. I can get over 700PPFD between 8-12 inches without burn. Get these lights. Glookies stacking nice at 5 weeks

I have replaced 3 sets of T5 florescents light bulbs with brand new LED 24 HO bulbs. The cost of running 1 standard T5 florescents system will be the same as running 3 of these new LED light systems!!! Not to mention a ton of other benefits not even mentioned in this video. Indestructible, energy saving, cost savings and best of all excellent vegetative light spectrum!!!

Tight Internodes

Ive been running 8 of these in a two tier setup using two hydro farm 4 light T5 fixtures for one month.
primarily used for mother plants, and clone vegging The plants and I appreciate the drop in operating temperature within the operational space (grow tent). I was previously using 2x Veg+UV T5's in conjunction with a pair of 420nm T5's per fixture from EyeHorti$%^and temps would easily be 8 to 15 degrees warmer than ambient room temp, now its half that range of 4-8 degrees above ambient.
While I love the energy savings, I have had a harder time achieving nice slightly elongated shoots for propagation with the LED retrofits vs previous T5 setup. The internodal spacing is pretty tight and it takes a bit longer for the mothers to produce the size of shoots I prefer working with.
though I will note this could also be a result of adapting to a new light source. which by now they ought to be pretty well adjusted, so from this point on I will see if I can achieve previous benchmark of 2.5 wk propagation intervals.
Bottom line.
Despite the growth delay Ive experienced, I am satisfied with my Active Grow retrofit T5's. Plants appear to like 'em.
They are pretty bright.
The high CRI makes it easier to properly identify pests and problems.
Cool operating temps + low draw = less energy needed for cooling = smiling faces.

A big improvement over fluorescents

These lamps have been a big improvement over my old fluorescent tubes. I live in a hot climate so I really appreciate that they stay cooler. The direct conversion tubes have been working just fine with my old fluorescent fixtures. I was originally going to go with the ballast bypass but have been so busy I needed a super quick option and these were perfect. My seedlings are healthy and growing by leaps and bounds!

Light bulbs are great, don't have to worry about deficiencies of the light spectrum in your grow area . Energy efficiency is awesome and not much of the heat output. Customer service is outstanding. Thank you.

Works as expected, best investment for indoor horticulture. With all the choices out there right now this is the best, hands down.

These are the ones you want! These lights are totally amazing! My plants love these lights, i get excellent growth and they're worth the money. They're a little pricey but trust, you get what you pay for. I like active grow. You won't be disappointed

The bulbs are very good. Warning - the bulbs are strong. I raise orchids. For low light orchids, I had to remove every other bulb in the fixture as not to burn the plants. The high light orchids love the bulbs.

Removing the ballast and using these bulbs reduced the temperature of the plants and improved their growth

Grow vegetables indoors all year from seed to harvest using Active Grow sunlamps. I started out with the Active Grow SunWhite 8 lamp T5 fixture. My tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers did so well that I decided to convert all my T8 fluorescent fixtures into ballast free to use T8 Active Grow SunWhite bulbs too (T8 review starts at 2:23). I have harvested so many awesome tasting vegetables. My lettuces did phenomenal under these grow lights. The hardiness and texture were way better than when I was using full spectrum fluorescent. Check out my YouTube videos at Amelia's Indoor Garden. To top it off they are located here in the US with excellent customer service. They truly have a passion for their product.

Buy these NOW!!! Used to get 5.7oz average yield with Fluorescent T5HO's in two (4) bulb TEK T5HO fixtures per shelf. Now with the Active Grow LED T5's, I get 8.5oz Average yield. The old bulbs used 238 watts on watt meter. new ones use 128 watts. Runs waaaay cooler. Don't have to use AC as much. Have to use dehumidifier more for all the new vigorous growth. No brainer, get these bulbs if you're using T5HO's. They use the very best LED's on these and they test and post the spectrum results. There are a million LED light companies out there, most are mediocre. Not these, top notch 100%

These seedlings I started about 5 weeks ago are now thriving in my garden. I usually supplement those plants with others I pick up at the nursery to fill in gaps. Not this year. Retail inventory of seedlings was horrible, and so was the quality! And my latest happy discovery this seed-starting round is my new grow lamp system. I love trying different lighting systems in hopes of finally settling on a favorite. Over recent years as I was creating my Master Seed-starting online course, I trialed many options from basic fluorescent shop lights, to high-end LED rigs and more sophisticated T5 fluorescent systems. Recently I was invited to try and keep (at no cost to me) a 24W T5 lamp and fixture from Active Grow. I've trialed several more basic LED shop light rigs in the past but the results were just average. But not this one. It's definitely got my attention. These lamps were clearly designed for indoor growing, with high PPF efficiency (the amount of quality light frequency usable by the plants), and higher energy efficiency (none of the heat energy wasted by the fluorescent alternatives). Over 5 weeks of growing time under this system, the plants performed very well - no legginess, nice compact plants, great color, and no light-burn. You can buy just the lamps that plug and play into existing T5 fluorescent fixtures (4 lamps cost about $139), or you can buy the lamps and fixture for around $219 for the 2x4 ft size - perfect for evenly lighting 4 standard trays on a self. The seedlings here were growing under the Sun White Pro lamps and I was very happy with the results. I'm really looking forward to seeing how it performs for the next round of warm-season edibles starting in February. A link to this lamp system is in my instagram profile (@joegardener). Great performing LEDs. Fantastic lights for veg and reproductive phases. Good bright white. Had to change ballasts on my fluorescent fixtures to accommodate LEDs. Simple and straightforward process. Well worth it

Great lights for a hobby greenhouse. These lights work great. Still growing cool weather vegetables in January and supplementing heat with a small milkhouse heater.

Manufacturer goes above and beyond! I ordered these lights with fulfillment through Amazon. The tubes arrived broken. I contacted the manufacturer because I know what it's like to be dinged for shipping issues beyond your control. The manufacturer responded immediately, and offered to replace the grow light tubes at no charge. The lights arrived in perfect condition and were a great fit for our existing grow cart fixture. I couldn't be happier with the manufacturer response and the quality of the lights.

Worth it! I just started growing my own lettuce on Nov 4 2018. I did a bunch of research before buying lights, but still ended up with several types. I have a 2'x 8' space growing 36 plants. Half have been growing under normal T5 fluorescent lights, and the other half have been using the Active Grow T5 LED lights. The fixtures are the same. The only difference is the lights, and the plants can tell. The plants under the Active Grow LED lights are noticeably larger than those under the fluorescent light. I also find the color to be more vibrant. I liked the performance and cost savings of these bulbs so much, I bought a second set to replace the T5 Fluorescent lights I mentioned above. I just received them a couple of days ago, and they are up and running now. I love the power savings too! I can run two, 4?, 4 bulb, Active Grow T5 LED setups for less than the cost of one 4', 4 bulb T5 Fluorescent setup. I'm definitely producing lettuce cheaper than I can buy it in the store, and it's always clean, healthy, and picked fresh daily.

Grow better, less electricity, plug and play - what's not to like? Bought 4. Did some replacement of the older T5's. So, these ARE NOT more intense light supply. They ARE better match to spectrum, 40% of the electricity, and save on fixture cost. These kids be kicking it. These are GOOD STUFF! Think the home grow -T5 is for veg, hi output red range LED for flower. This is a great choice for veg - not sure one could get the intensity levels needed in a modern flower room (ppfd) or enough DLI for normal flower. BUT and I think a game changer - these could easily hit the DLI for an auto flower. So these bulbs in a few different lighting ranges could easily have one changing a few bulbs on their fixtures over the autos and providing awesome light level and quality. And keep your fixtures in place. Going to give it a try!

Best LED grow light that I have used ... the orchids are thriving. All grow lights are not created equal it is no small feat to successfully replicate the natural sunlight that plants have evolved with for eons. What looks bright and pleasing to humans is not necessarily what is most valuable to plants (for photosynthesis). I've found this out through trial and error, and a lot of research, to enhance my orchid growing. At the moment, I count six different LED grow lights in operation for different types of orchids, using LEDs for both supplemental and sole sources of light.

I'm taking the time to write a review, which I rarely do, because the Active Grow LEDs are the best full spectrum grow lighting that I've found so far for orchid seedlings, and blooming size Paphiopedilums and Phalaenopsis. I particularly note the robust year-round root growth on the Paphs, including multi-floral and higher light species. I run my lights 9-10 hours/day which has been plenty for flowering the lower light Paphs, and fewer hours than I comparably used T5 HO fluorescents. I'm also trying some higher light species under the ActiveGrow lights as well. The near blooming size Dendrobiums are growing well, with a few flowers emerging on the largest seedlings. I also note that recently deflasked orchid seedlings do not dry out as quickly under these LED lights, compared to the T5 HO fluorescents. This is very beneficial given their shallow root systems, and many of the smaller seedlings are establishing more easily. I have replaced all of the bulbs in my Hydrofarm Agrobrite T5 fixtures with these conversion tubes. -A'na Sa'tara of Ancient Energy Orchids (www.aeorchids.com)
