T8 HO 4FT LED Grow Lamp (40W Eqv.) – Sun White Spectrum

Converted 2 of 3 starter trays to the sun white leds'. Ended up moving everything out of the fluorescent trays because of the obvious benefits.

We mainly use the grow lights for seed starting in March and growing during the winter. We use the lighting in the greenhouse this year because we were not getting enough sunny days and there was a lot of rain this year, so the LED lighting really made a difference. Thank you for your products they work great!

I modified my existed older grow light setup by removing the ballasts and that went well. Taylor's instructional video was a big help. It's still early but I'm excited to see good results this year. I'm planning to modify my remaining setups.

Using these lights for microgreens we get a better growth in the cotyledons compared to other light spectra, generating a higher yield at harvest. The sun white Spectrum allow us to grow microgreens in general with excellent results like better color, flavor and faster growth in our microgreens. The possibility for testing and finding out the ideal formulated light spectrum for each species using others' light spectrum is fantastic!

Grow vegetables indoors all year from seed to harvest using Active Grow sunlamps
I started out with the Active Grow SunWhite 8 lamp T5 fixture. My tomatoes, peppers, and cucumbers did so well that I decided to convert all my T8 fluorescent fixtures into ballast free to use T8 Active Grow SunWhite bulbs too (T8 review starts at 2:23). I have harvested so many awesome tasting vegetables. My lettuces did phenomenal under these grow lights. The hardiness and texture were way better than when I was using full spectrum fluorescent. I have an old, originally fluorescent, lighted plant stand that I had planned to convert to LED one of these days. When the ballast in one light blew a few weeks ago, I decided it was time. These were the only bulbs I found which would fit. I finally got them in today. It was a struggle to rewire the first one, but it clicked so that the second one was much easier and they are working! It’s too soon to tell how long-lasting they are and how well the plants will do under them, but I’m hopeful!

The product is exactly as advertised, and is a great way to get a head start on the garden each year. One of the lights was damaged before it arrived. The replacement light was immediately processed and received in good order.

WARNING! If you use these bubs to grow plants, be advised you will need more room for your plants as they grow like crazy using these bulbs.

Exactly What I Wanted. I searched locally for this kind of light with no success. After weeks of researching, I finally settled on this product. With the constant source of light, I now have seedlings sprouting and I couldn't be happier.

Active Grow Great Customer Service. I purchased the Active Grow T8/T12 High Output - Plant Grow Lights for Indoor Plants, Germination & Microgreens - 22W - Sun White Full Spectrum High CRI 95! I purchased them in July but due to health was unable to try them till this November, Despite the best shipping container packaging I have ever seen two of the bulbs would not work. When I contacted Active Grow directly they were friendly and willing to send replacements immediately..! The product is very bright with superior specifications and exceeds our expectations! I can highly recommend them for both their great customer service and their quality product ! Looking forward to doing more business with them !!!

I wanted directly wired bulbs so that I didn't need to worry about ballast compatibility, I wanted full spectrum light, and I wanted to retrofit my existing fixtures rather than throwing them away and buying new ones. In a very extensive search, Active Grow bulbs were the only ones I found which met my criteria. I was a bit apprehensive about having to buy four bulbs sight unseen, but now that I have them I'm really pleased that I can retrofit two fixtures rather than just one (which was my initial plan).

Great replacement grow light, fantastic customer service. I bought these lamps to replace some very old fluorescent tubes that I use to keep some outdoor plants alive over winter. I hesitated first at the price, but after reading and studying I decided to go for it. After they arrived, retrofitting the old fixtures with new tombstones was a piece of cake. It was a great feeling to see the fixtures plugged in for the first time again and WOW how bright that light was! I'm sure my plants will love these. Unfortunately, one of the bulbs that arrived didn't work. I contacted Active Grow on a Friday evening, and within just a couple of hours Taylor responded to say he would send a replacement out on Monday. Now that's fantastic customer service! The new bulb arrived perfectly and works like a charm. Don't hesitate to buy these lamps. They're definitely brighter and more energy efficient than the old fluorescent tubes, and you'll notice a difference right away. Thanks Active Grow!!

Buy these. The 4 lights arrived promptly. They were very well packaged. I used these light to replace 4 older T12 florescent lamps. Following the directions that came with the lamps for removing the ballast was easy. I rewired 2 lamp fixtures using some wire nuts that I had on hand. These lamps seem to be about twice as bright as the older florescent lamps.

Great for Orchids. I swapped out my old T5 and T8 fluorescent tubes for Active Grow full spectrum LED lights about a year ago in all of my orchid growing stands. The results a year later are better than I could have expected the light quality is excellent and I'm blooming orchids that I was never able to bloom under fluorescents. Growth has been fantastic larger, more vigorous growths and great roots. Highly recommended!

Perfect and hard workers. Absolutely in love with these lights. They are perfect grow lights and work extremely well. Customer service was a pleasure. One tube was broken during shipping and they had a new tube at my door within 48 hours. Will be my sole provider for grow lights in the future!

Change to non-shunted tombstones while rewiring. It was fun ripping out most of the wiring and ballasts in the old light fixtures. Very important to replace the tombstones in the fixture with non-shunted tombstones (search for that term on Amazon). Both non-wired and wired ones are available on Amazon. Need 4 of each for fixture. Great bulbs. Plenty of light and seem to be quality built. Vendor great to deal with. Light fixtures much, much lighter without the ballasts, thus much easier to reposition the fixtures.
